China Bend Vineyards is a privately owned vineyard making organic wine in northern Washington state. More than 30 years ago, Bart and Victory Alexander planted an experimental patch with 72 varieties to see what would grow in the winter. The Alexanders found eight grapes that could not only survive, but thrive. They released their first commercial vintage of organic wines from China Bend Winery in 1993.
