About

Denver Urban Gardens gives residents the opportunity to grow food and nurturing community connections. DUG provides land for gardens, they will design and build a garden, support the garden’s organization with leadership and outreach. DUG gardens serve as an educational space for community to come together and learn about gardening and the food system. DUG also supports its gardens by connecting them with local food projects and policies. DUG was founded in 1985 to support Denver residents who wanted to create food producing community gardens. Today, they operate 181 community gardens in Denver! Visit their website to find out how you can start your own community garden, take a class or go to one of their plant sales.
