Maysara is family owned winery that uses biodynamic farming practices. In 1997, Moe and Flora Momtazi bought 496 acres of abandoned wheat farm in McMinnville, Oregon.

The Momtazi’s believe that the majority of winemaking takes place in the vineyard. They’ve held themselves to a strict standards, acting as stewards of the land in order to nurture and reap the rewards naturally.  Instead of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, they use variety of medicinal, dynamic flowers and herbs they use to make compost teas. They utilize the beneficial properties of each flower and herb and embody a “from nature to nature” philosophy. This results in healthy soil that results in healthy grape vines.
