Mei Mei (may-may) is an Asian-American restaurant in Boston, MA run by the highly acclaimed Irene Li. Li began the restaurant in 2012 as a food truck with her siblings. Since taking over operations in 2018, and turning the food truck into a restaurant, she has won many awards for her creative cuisine and dedication to positive social and environmental change in the servce industry. Li has championed sustainability with her zero food waste goals and local sourcing initiatives. She’s also committed to empowering her staff and the surrounding community through education and food donations.
