Oregon Soap Company was started in 1993 when the founder was a struggling musician, playing in several Portland, OR bands and teaching music. One day, friend and artist Jamie Hayes told him he should start his own business and the Oregon Soap Company was born. The company is dedicated to being sustainable. They have partnered with Friends of Trees and Trees for the Future to plant trees and native plants, one for every ten bars or five gallons sold.
