There’s a hopefulness each of us can identify with when talking to the young woman behind Effervescence, a line of natural skincare and haircare products.  Rose Quinn started Effervescence with the intent to make sustainable, safe products accessible to all. The vegan line includes things like a gentle make-up remover, facial serum, and dry shampoo, to name a few.  Each item is handmade by Rose and packaged in containers made with sustainable materials.

Similar to a multitude of small businesses today, Effervescence is a small company setting a noteworthy example for larger companies to follow in terms of inclusivity, sustainability and accessibility.  Rose is focused on making her products as sustainable as possible and has hopes of opening a shop where customers can refill their products in person. For now, she offers a bottle return service where customers can return empty bottles and receive a discount on their next purchase.

How does she do it all? A college junior, Rose, wakes up each day and balances the roles of small business owner, student, employee, and friend. She encourages fellow entrepreneurs to follow their dreams without fear. Rose is emblematic of how the next generation of entrepreneurs is redefining the business model to include stewardship of the planet.
