The fair and direct trade collective membership also ensures that the 44 North founders have a direct line of communication with the farmers supplying their beans. To create a connection between their consumers and coffee growers, each bag of beans features the latitude number that indicates where the coffee farm is located in the world.  44 North expertly roasts their fair trade, organic coffee in-house in the historic Deer Isle schoolhouse.
